Crassula

Crassula thrives in the brightest spot you can offer, from a sun-drenched windowsill to a warm, sheltered patio. Plenty of direct light keeps the rosettes tight and often blushes the leaf edges with lovely reddish tones, while too little light causes stretched, leggy growth. It enjoys warmth and dry air, so there is no need to fuss over humidity.

Water sparingly, soaking the soil thoroughly then letting it dry out completely before watering again, and cut right back over the cooler months when growth slows. As a succulent, Crassula stores water in its leaves and dislikes wet feet, so a free-draining gritty mix and a pot with drainage holes are essential. Feed lightly with a diluted succulent fertiliser once or twice through the warmer growing season for steady, healthy growth.
