Kalanchoe Bells

Position your Kalanchoe Bells in a bright spot with plenty of indirect light or a few hours of gentle full sun, which keeps the leaves plump and encourages those pretty bell-shaped flowers. A sunny windowsill, covered patio or bright balcony is ideal. Too little light leads to leggy, stretched growth and fewer blooms, so err on the brighter side. It is happy in average household humidity and appreciates good airflow around the foliage.

Water sparingly, allowing the potting mix to dry out completely between drinks, then water thoroughly and let any excess drain away, as this succulent stores moisture in its fleshy leaves and rots easily if left sitting wet. Ease right back over the cooler months. Feed with a diluted low-nitrogen or succulent fertiliser every few weeks through the warmer growing season to support flowering, and pinch back after blooming to keep the plant bushy and compact.
