Monstera Deliciosa

Monstera deliciosa is an easy, rewarding plant that's great for beginners. Give it bright, indirect light for the best leaf splitting, but keep it out of harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves. It tolerates medium light too, though it grows slower and stays less fenestrated. Let the top few centimetres of soil dry out before watering again, as it dislikes sitting wet. Use a pot with drainage holes and a chunky, well-draining mix, and give it a moss pole to climb for bigger, more split leaves as it matures. Keep it in normal room warmth away from cold draughts, feed lightly through the warmer months, and wipe the leaves occasionally to keep them glossy and pest-free.
