Philodendron Gloriosum

The gloriosum is a crawling, velvet-leaved philodendron that loves warmth and humidity. Give it bright, indirect light but keep it out of harsh direct sun, which scorches the velvety leaves. Keep the soil lightly and evenly moist, letting just the top centimetre dry between waterings, and avoid letting it sit soggy. Because it creeps rather than climbs, plant it in a wide, shallow pot with drainage holes and a chunky, well-draining aroid mix, keeping the rhizome sitting on top of the soil rather than buried. Keep it warm and humid, away from cold draughts, feed lightly through the warmer months, and wipe the leaves gently to keep them clean.
