Pomegranate Elche

The Pomegranate 'Elche' is a handsome deciduous shrub prized for its glossy, lance-shaped foliage that emerges bronze-tinted in spring before settling into a fresh, vibrant green. Through the warmer months it puts on a show of vivid orange-red flowers, followed by the plump, jewel-toned fruit this Spanish variety is loved for. With its naturally bushy, upright habit it makes a wonderful feature in a sunny courtyard, along a warm fence line, or clipped into a productive hedge, and it happily settles into a large pot on a bright patio.

Give your Pomegranate a spot in full sun where it can soak up plenty of warmth, and water regularly through the growing season, allowing the soil to dry a little between drinks once established.
