Rhipsalis Pilocarpa
Rhipsalis Pilocarpa is a soft, sculptural jungle cactus with wonderfully bristly, cylindrical stems that cascade in tangled clusters of forest green. Unlike its spiny desert cousins, this epiphyte grows on trees in the wild, so it carries a lush, feathery texture rather than sharp armour, and mature plants may reward you with tiny star-shaped white flowers. It looks its best spilling from a hanging basket, perched on a shelf or bracket where the trailing stems can dangle freely, and brings an easygoing, boho charm to bathrooms, kitchens and bright living spaces.
Give it bright, indirect light and a little humidity to keep those stems plump and happy, avoiding harsh midday sun that can scorch the foliage. Water when the top of the mix has dried out, letting it drain freely and easing right back over the cooler months. Grown and potted on-site, each plant is hand-picked and ready to settle into its new home.
