Pomegranate Azerbaijani

Position your Azerbaijani Pomegranate in full sun, ideally against a warm, sheltered wall or in an open, well-lit spot in the garden. At least six hours of direct sun each day drives the strongest flowering, the richest fruit set and the best autumn colour in the foliage. In containers, choose a large pot with free-draining potting mix and turn it occasionally so growth stays even. It tolerates heat and dry spells well once established, making it a rewarding choice for a sunny courtyard or patio.

Water deeply but allow the top of the soil to dry between drinks, keeping moisture consistent through spring and summer while the plant is flowering and fruiting, then reducing as it drops its leaves and rests over winter. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in early spring and again as fruit develops to support a generous crop. Prune in late winter to shape the plant, remove crossing branches and encourage productive new wood, and avoid heavy feeding late in the season so growth hardens off before the cold.
