Begonia White Speckled

Position your White Speckled Begonia in warm, bright indirect light, such as near an east or filtered north-facing window. Plenty of light keeps the silvery spots crisp and the leaf colour vibrant, while harsh direct sun can scorch the foliage. As a native of humid forests, it appreciates a little extra humidity, so group it with other plants or set it near a pebble tray to keep those wings looking their best.

Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry, allowing the roots to breathe between drinks and easing back in the cooler months, as this begonia is far happier a touch dry than sitting in soggy soil. Feed with a diluted liquid fertiliser through the warmer growing season to support fresh cane growth. Take care to keep water off the leaves and avoid overwatering, as begonias can be prone to mildew and root rot in damp, stagnant conditions.
