Position your Red Bamboo Ginger in bright, indirect light to keep its glossy foliage full and encourage the warm red tones in its new growth and bracts. Avoid harsh, direct midday sun, which can scorch the leaves. As a tropical spiral ginger, it thrives in warmth and humidity, so a spot in a steamy bathroom, near a kitchen, or grouped with other plants suits it well; misting or a nearby humidity tray helps it look its best indoors.

Keep the potting mix consistently moist through the warmer months, watering when the top of the soil begins to feel just slightly dry, and ease back a little over winter without letting it dry out completely. Feed fortnightly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertiliser to fuel those lush canes.
