Richmond Green Heirloom Cucumber Seeds – Garden-Fresh Delight

How to grow: Sow cucumber seeds in spring and summer once the weather is warm and all danger of frost has passed, as they need heat to grow well. Choose a full-sun position with rich, well-drained soil and a pH around 6.5 to 7.0. Sow seeds about 1 to 2 cm deep, either directly where they are to grow or into pots to transplant. Keep the soil consistently moist while the seeds germinate, which usually takes one to two weeks in warm conditions. Space or thin plants to around 40 to 50 cm apart, and give them a trellis or support to climb, which saves space and keeps the fruit clean. Water regularly and deeply, especially once flowering and fruiting, and feed every few weeks through the growing season. Plants reach 60 to 100 cm and crop best when picked often. Good companions include beans, peas, corn and dill.
